Renee Branum is a local artist from East Tennessee.
My preferred medium is oil. I began painting in 1992 then took about a 20-year hiatus, as life happens, but began painting again in 2016.
I haven’t given it up again nor will I …ever. Painting evokes so many emotions for both the artist and the viewer. It calms me….in the middle of a storm all I need are brushes and oils. It’s freeing!
I am very detail-oriented in my life and in my art. I find inspiration in many things but the water….the water is my favorite.
